Steve started coaching in 1999, under 6s and realised he had a passion for coaching after playing for so many years, over the last 24yrs Steve now has coaching experience in all age groups. Steve has been coaching at Carina for the last 10 years where he coached junior and senior men and women teams, won coach of the year 3 times, coached teams to numerous finals series and won 3 grand finals. In 2023 he was appointed coaching director for the club and responsible for 38 coaches.

Steve has level 2/Senior Club coach certificate and this year worked with the NRL as a coaching developer.

Steve will be taking up the position as Open Men’s coach as well as Club Coaching Coordinator for the 2024 season help all our coaches hone their coaching skills.
