COVID-19 Community Rugby League Suspension

As a result of the recent COVID-19 situation, Community Rugby League will not proceed until at least June 1.

In an open letter to all members earlier in the year, Easts Mt Gravatt JRLFC president Dan Suter said the club needed to keep moving towards playing a great season of rugby league when it was deemed safe to do so.

“We have a great community club; the players, members and committee are a very loving and supportive group,” he wrote. “Don’t hesitate in reaching out for assistance. We should all do what we can to support our community during this very difficult time while working towards a great start to the 2020 season.”

The current advice is that the season will go on after this delay. Fees should continue to be paid and payment plan commitments honoured. The band of volunteers has maintained the fields and paid insurances and incoming bills to ensure Allan Innes Field is in tip-top shape for the return of the Eagles.
